Are you feeling a little bit down today about your nursing school experience? Are you starting to wonder if you maybe aren’t even “cut out” for nursing school? Or are you starting to wonder if nursing becoming a nurse will never happen for you?
If so, then I have a message for you today!
First, if you don’t know me, my name is Nicole Whitworth, I am the founder of your nursing tutor calm, and I run a membership for nursing students who want to be successful in nursing school, and just need some common sense, practical, efficient guidance for how to train your brain to think like a nurse through the studying that you already have to do for your classes.
So today, if you’re feeling down, if you’re having doubts about whether this is the right dream for you, I want to tell you that you are doing amazing!
And I know you might be rolling your eyes, especially if you just failed a class. If you just failed by 0.2 tenths of a point for your final grade. Or if you pass all your classes, but you can’t get through the exit exam, you might be rolling your eyes and be like, “Nicole, you don’t know what I’m going through. I’m not doing amazing.”
Yes, you are.
Because you have started on your path to reaching your dream of becoming a nurse. And that path probably has some bumps on it.
In fact, if you’re feeling a little down, you’ve experienced some of those bumps. But that just makes you normal.
Everybody’s path has bumps. Everybody’s bumps look different from each other’s bumps.
It’s okay to have bumps. It’s okay to sit down and cry a little bit, and ask for a hug.
But then you pick yourself up, you dust yourself off, and you figure out what to do next.
And that is what makes a resilient nurse. And if nursing is your dream, you can do this!
You are smart, otherwise you wouldn’t have gotten here where you’re at right now. You are resilient, you work hard, you care, and you have a LOT to offer those future patients that are just waiting for your care. Okay? So you owe it to them. You owe it to yourself, you owe it to whoever your biggest cheerleader is. To pick yourself back up, to figure out what to do next, and to keep on that path to nursing.
Because the world needs more wonderful nurses like you.
And if you would like some help to get there, if you’re not sure quite what to do next, if you don’t have a great support network, or if you’re not sure who your biggest cheerleader is…then come check out the Your Nursing Tutor VIP Tutoring Membership, because that’s what we do for you there.
We will help you figure out your next steps. I will give you the tools you need to pick yourself back up, to work on the things that caused the bumps the first time around, so that you don’t get knocked down by the same bumps next time. And we, as a community, will cheer you on with every success. We’ll cheer you up. We’ll pick you up when you get down. And we are going to be so excited for you when you finally reach the end of your path and become a nurse.
